The Panthers took to the ice this morning for their final full practice of the season as they look to put a halt to the Edmonton Oilers' improbable comeback. Surprisingly, however, the Panthers were without Sergei Bobrovsky, which raised more than a few concerns.
Reporter Tom Gulitti noted that Bobrovsky did not take to the ice before practice as he normally does. Instead, it was Anthony Stolarz and Spencer Knight who were on the ice before and throughout practice.
Since starting 3-0 in the Stanley Cup Final, Bobrovsky and the Panthers have struggled mightily, as you can see by his save percentage numbers below.
Bobrovsky was also not made available to the media following the Panthers Game 6 loss Friday night. Whether he is dealing with an injury or the Panthers are trying something different to get him refocused remains to be seen, but the fact that he was not on the ice for practice or even before practice does not bode well for the Panthers ahead of Game 7.
