He ended up missing a couple of weeks, which turned out to be 7 games, but since earning a look with John Tavares and Mitch Marner, he has recorded 8 points in 7 games. It is sandwiched between injuries but he has played relatively well with 2 of the Leafs' top 4 offensive players - which should not only earn him a longer look there, but should also see his stock rising in Toronto.
In last night's game against the St.Louis Blues, Jarnkrok had his best game of the season, recording an assist on the second goal of the game, another assist on the third goal, which was a shorthanded tally, and then scored the then-go-ahead goal to make it 4-3.
Since his return from injury, that puts him at 2 goals and 5 points in 3 games. On the season he now has 7 goals and 7 assists for 14 points in 28 games. He had a rough stretch where he only scored 2 goals and 3 points in 15 games but he looks a lot better, fresher, and healthier now, which bodes well for the Leafs as a whole.
