NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman has been in charge of the NHL since 1993. Since then, the league has suffered through 3 lockouts, imposed an oppressive salary cap and watched the standard for officiating decline at a steady rate. Sure, the owners make more money, and the league is more stable financially, but the players are by far the lowest paid of any of the big 5 sports leagues in North America. Bettman's lawyer-like approach to every situation is enough to infuriate fans. Between The Nhl's concussion scandal and the recent Kyle Beach scandal, its clear he really isn't all that concerned about the well being of the players either.
