The Leafs got back in the win column on Sunday with a big win over the Washington Capitals on what was a monumental night for Leafs captain John Tavares. But even on a night as special as your 1000th career game, Tavares' teammates proved that no one is ever safe from a friendly prank.

Following the Buds' 5-1 win over the Caps, as the Leafs sat in their stalls celebrating, Timothy Liljegren reached for the Leafs' championship belt, which the players pass around to the "player of the game". However, instead of passing the belt to Tavares on the biggest night of his career - a night on which he recorded 2 assists - Liljegren, Mark Giordano and the rest of the room chose to have a little fun at JT's expense.

The brotherhood and the camaraderie that this team displays on each day is always so fun to watch. Gio sold this one pretty well, but in the end, he was quick to rush over to JT to pass the belt to him while the rest of the room laughed, clapped and cheered on their captain on his big night.
