The Toronto Maple Leafs are getting closer to the start of their first round matchup against the Boston Bruins. The series opens up on Thursday in Boston and head coach Mike Babcock has already stated that nobody will be unavailable because of injury. That includes defenseman Jake Gardiner who missed a large chuck of time due to back problems. Babcock gave a hint about what his plan regarding Gardiner is going into the series. "I think he's someone that people have decided isn't a good player so they pick on him. I'm telling you right now, we can't find another one. I think he's a good player, I'm going to play him a lot." Gardiner took a lot of heat during the Leafs Game 7 against the Bruins last year when he finished the game a -5.What do you think of Babcock's comments?
