"The Toronto Maple Leafs continue to struggle on the defensive side of things both with play and injuries. However there's some light at the end of the tunnel. Defenseman Jake Gardiner has finally joined his teammates for practice. Gardiner hasn't played since February 25th and has been dealing with back issues throughout the season. While Gardiner isn't exactly known for his defensive prowess, the 28 year old would without a doubt be welcome back into the lineup as soon as possible.
