The drama continues when it comes to the Mitch Marner negotiations. We heard this week that Marner is ready to sign with the Zurich Lions of the Swiss League if he decides to skip training camp. We're pretty sure that neither side wants it to get that far, but Elliotte Friedman reports there's a lot of frustration on both sides. While speaking with Sportsnet590, Friedman mention there's some good news and that he's heard from some people that the two sides could be close on a short term deal. However with good news comes bad news and Friedman adds that the Leafs are starting to get really frustrated with the way things are going. The Leafs don't want to revisit this situation in another three years, but the two sides aren't even close on a longer term deal. Friedman says that Marner is starting to get frustrated with the situation himself.
