The William Nylander saga finally ended over the weekend and now it's all about when will Nylander finally suit up for the Leafs. Nylander will more than likely return to a spot on the lineup with Auston Matthews and the duo will hopefully pick up where they left off last season. Many believed that even if Nylander signed a contract, the he would be eventually traded either during the season or next summer. Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman has been one of the most vocal about it saying there's no way he sees Nylander in Toronto after this season. Well, it looks like Friedman could be wrong once again as Nylander revealed to the media on Monday that Leafs' general manager Kyle Dubas pledged to him that he would not be traded by Dubas as long as Dubas was GM of the Leafs. "I don't know why that's a surprise," Dubas said. "I've been on the record as saying that ... it's our intention to have him here as long as we're here. He's an excellent young player. I don't think we want to get in the business of not having excellent young players so that's how we feel about it."
Do you think Dubas will stick to his word?
