Yesterday, it was announced that Leafs players and Sheldon Keefe would meet with the media on Monday, as they did, and management would meet with the media Thursday. Monday evening however, they announced that the management media availability has been moved to Friday fuelling speculation that a significant change is about to be made.
The latest announcement revealed that Brad Treliving would be joined by Brendan Shanahan and Keith Pelley leading many to believe that Shanahan will not be relieved of his duties as the Leafs' President of Hockey Operations. The fact that the team has pushed the media availability for management a day has also led to many believing that Keefe is on his way out following another disappointing playoff performance.
Keefe being fired has been a hot topic since David Pastrnak eliminated the Leafs in overtime with insiders speculating that the Leafs want to hire Craig Berube before the New Jersey Devils get the chance to. Whatever the case, it will be a wild week for the Leafs where no news will lead to more speculation and any news will break social media.
