Maple Leafs winger Matthew Knies spoke with the media on Friday, revealing the truth about his injury, which, thankfully, wasn't a concussion at all.

Both Matthew Knies and John Tavares were full participants in practice on Friday, much to the delight of the fan base, who has had to watch the team fail to produce goals amid a frustrating 3-game losing skid.
Knies was injured late in the second period against Columbus As he fell awkwardly following the completion of a hit.
The fall led to a lot of speculation that the sophomore winger may have suffered a second concussion on the season.
Following practice, Knies was asked about the injury and confirmed he would be in the lineup Saturday against the Edmonton Oilers.
"Yeah, it felt good. I felt I got all my strength back and that I was ready to go, so I think I should be in for tomorrow," said Knies before revealing it was a shoulder injury that kept him out of the lineup. "Yeah, I don't know. It's kind of a fluky play. Just try to get body position on them. It felt kind of awkward there. It just didn't feel comfortable with my shoulder, and that's kind of the reason I wanted to take some time, heal it up, and make sure I was 100% to go for the next game."

Knies also revealed that the injury didn't happen when he fell into the linesman, but that he tweaked something on the initial hit.
"I think it was more the initial hit. I think the fall obviously didn't really help it at all either, but fortunate for me, it wasn't anything serious. Just needed a few days to do some rehab and get it back to 100%."
Skating mostly with Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner this season, Knies is having a career year. Through 47 games, the Arizona native has 18 goals and 31 points.
The pending restricted free agent is just 5 points away from setting a new career-high leading many Leaf fans to hope Brad Treliving gets Knies to put pen to paper on a contract extension sooner than later.
Knies' return to the lineup should inject some much-needed offence to a Leaf lineup that has scored just 3 goals in their last three games, all of which were losses.
