Leafs Place Zach Hyman On Trade Block Prior To Free Agency.

"The Toronto Maple Leafs and general manager Kyle Dubas have officially given up on trying to keep forward Zach Hyman around. Hyman is about to hit free agency and more than likely land a deal that the Leafs simply can't match. Instead of letting him walk for free, the Leafs have given Hyman and his agent permission to speak to other teams in hopes that a trade can be made for his negotiating rights and the Leafs will get a little something in return. The Leafs have only a 2nd, 5th and 6th round pick at this years draft so anything they can get for Hyman will definitely help on draft day.

Considerable interest in Hyman league wide. Some teams hoping to get the jump early, some need to wait until after expansion draft...cap teams willing to move pieces.
