The Toronto Maple Leafs have themselves in a pretty good position heading into the playoffs. They play six of their final eight games on home and six of those games are against teams currently out of a playoff spot. This stretch begins with the fourth and final meeting against the Detroit Red Wings tonight. The Leafs are 7-2-1 in their last 10 games versus the Wings, including wins in two of their three games this season. They have had a balanced attack against Detroit this season as they have scored 10 goals against them, but Auston Matthews is the only player with more than one. Frederik Andersen will make his first start of the season against he Red Wings tonight. Curtis McElhinney had started the previous three games this season. Veteran Jimmy Howard will start for the Wings, who picked up a win against the Leafs back in December.
