The Toronto Maple Leafs are believed to have reached out to the Vegas Golden Knights about both of their goaltenders.

The Golden Knights have been rumoured as a possible destination for Leafs forward Mitch Marner for weeks with most of the proposed trades revolving around Shea Theodore According to The Fourth Period's David Pagnotta, it is believed the Leafs have had some discussions about both Logan Thompson and Adin Hill to shore up their goaltending after missing out on Jacob Markstrom.

Both are still relatively young, with Hill being 28 and Thompson being 27, but have drastically different salaries. Hill has one year left on his current deal at $4.9M while Thompson has one year left at just $766K. Thompson played in 46 games for the Knights last season posting a 25-14-5 record with a 2.7 0GAA and .908 save percentage while Hill played in 35 games, going 19-12-2 with a 2.71 GAA and .909 save percentage.

For the Leafs, Thompson would likely be the preferred option given his cap hit, but if the Leafs are looking for the best option that can provide stability in a tandem with Joseph Woll either one would suffice given their experience.
