"With the Stanley Cup Finals coming to an end last night, the Nikita Zaitsev sweepstakes will heat up. We've heard over the last week that the Vancouver Canucks are one of the front runners to land Zaitsev and are showing strong interest. Apparently they might have some competition from a close neighbour. NHL insider Darren Dreger reports that the Edmonton Oilers are also showing interest in Zaitsev. The Oilers without a doubt need some help on the blueline and could be the perfect trade partner.
Trade discussions will heat up in the days leading up to next weeks draft. Mentioned Vancouver's interest in Nikita Zaitsev last week. Sounds like the Oilers have some interest as well. — Darren Dreger (@DarrenDreger) June 13, 2019
