The Toronto Maple Leafs are in Boston tonight to take on the Bruins in another heated division matchup. While it's a heated rivalry on the ice which has been interesting in the playoffs, there is some love off the ice. Nikita Kucherov won last year's Hart Trophy, however he wasn't David Pastrnak's pick. The Bruins forward made it public that his pick for the Hart was Auston Matthews.Today he was asked by the media why the love for Matthews?"H'es got an unbelievable shot and skill set and he can find the soft spot and you know every time he's 100% healthy he's showing that and I just think he's a hell of a player".So much love for an opposing player, did he get ripped by his teammates?"Hockeys a team sport and I think we can all agree that they have some great players and I don't think theres something wrong with giving credit when he deserves it".After already having played each other once, was there anything special you've seen this season?"It's hard to watch other players during a game and it's early in the season but he continues to show he can score goals and he's been showing that since he got here but like I said during game its hard to focus on anything else except your play."
