The Toronto Maple Leafs season is over and there's plenty of question marks surrounding the Leafs. We'll likely see a lot of roster changes this offseason but they main core will stay in tact. Riley Nash, Zach Hyman, Wayne Simmonds, Nick Foligno, Alex Galchenyuk, Jason Spezza, Joe Thornton, Zach Bogosian, Ben Hutton, Martin Marincin, Frederik Andersen and David Rittich will all be UFA. Not many if any are likely to be back and it's possible Thornton has played his final NHL game. Thornton will turn 42 on July 2nd and according to Brian Witt of NBC Sports Bay Area, it's more than likely over for Thornton unless maybe he can land with one of the top contenders. However a full 82 game schedule this time around likely won't open the door for Thornton on any contender.
