Midway through the third, with the game tied at 2, Tverberg dumped the puck into the Admirals' zone before getting crunched into the boards. Tverberg was in what many call the "danger zone" which is two to three feet away from the boards when he received the hit. He struggled to get to the bench and needed help to get to the Marlies' room once he made it there.
Following the Marlies win, Head Coach John Gruden was hopeful that the injury is minor and that Tverberg would return to the lineup sooner rather than later. There was no further update, but Tverberg will likely undergo additional tests over the coming days to determine the extent of the injury.
