The Sportsnet Stats account on Twitter revealed something interesting about the Leafs' game tonight against the Buffalo Sabres. Brace yourselves, Leafs Nation - this could bring up painful memories.

Per SN Stats, when the Leafs face Craig Anderson tonight, it will be their first time playing against a goaltender who is at least 40 years old since their disastrous outing against the Carolina Hurricanes in the David Ayres game (February 22, 2020).

I suppose that means that the Buds stand a pretty good chance of outshooting the Sabres 45-20 and still losing the game. I swear - this team is cursed.

At the moment, the score is 1-1 with the shots even at 4 apiece as well with around 6 minutes left in the period. Hopefully for the sake of the fans in attendance (the first game back at Scotiabank Arena with 100% fan attendance), the Leafs can find a way to get it done in what is a very winnable game.
