The Leafs' 2020 1st round pick, Rodion Amirov, is one of the team's best and brightest young prospects. Unfortunately, the 20-year-old was had one of life's biggest curveballs thrown at him and announced to the Leafs earlier this year that he had been diagnosed with a brain tumor.

Amirov has been receiving treatment at a facility in Germany and, thankfully, his battle seems to be going well and like we all knew he would, he's kicking cancer's butt. Today, in a video posted on his Instagram, Amirov was back on the ice with the caption "back to business."

It's great to see Amirov back in the ice! Not just for the Leafs' sake but it means that he's progressing in his battle and is getting closer and closer to beating cancer. Regardless of which team you cheer for, this is news that you love to hear. We saw it with the #OskarStrong movement when Flyers forward Oskar Lindblom was going through his own battle with cancer. Some things are just bigger than hockey. Congrats to Amirov on making progress and we continue to support him during his treatment and recovery.
