It was a scary scene for Marlies/Leafs fans on Sunday, when Lehigh Valley Phantoms forward Adam Clendening came surging across the ice in the 3rd period, clipping Toronto Marlies forward Josh Ho-Sang with a vicious head shot with about 8 minutes remaining in the game. You can see the video below.

Ho-Sang was absolutely rocked and spent some time on the ice before being ushered to the locker room, accompanied by members of the Marlies' medical staff. He did not return for the remainder of the game.

Following the conclusion of the game, Marlies head coach Greg Moore had some encouraging news on Ho-Sang, but cautioned that they would not know the extend of his injury until he is re-evaluated.

"looks like he's doing okay," said Moore of Ho-Sang, who was coming off of a strong performance for the Marlies on Saturday night against the Hershey Bears, with the 26-year-old scoring once, adding an assist, and throwing out this beautiful celly on his 3rd period goal:

Ho-Sang was held off the scoreboard on Sunday, but is enjoying a solid campaign in the AHL, notching 11 goals and 20 points in 27 games this season. Hopefully we'll have a status update as soon as Monday.
