Over the years we've seen the Stanley Cup take a few dings and dents, lots of alcohol and even a couple of hot dogs. It's gone swimming at in Mario Lemieux's pool, and on sea-doo rides through the canals of Tampa, but until last night, had not been dented during the on ice celebrations.

The Cup made its rounds through the players and staff of the Avalanche rather quickly after the final buzzer went in Tampa last night. The team chose to take the traditional team photo away from center ice and the Tampa Bay Lightning logo. The team gathered in the crease and Nicolas Aube-Kubel went to slide into the front row with the Stanley Cup. Unfortunately, he toe-picked, fell and dropped the cup.

It might be the fastest the Cup has ever been dented, captured during the on-ice celebrations. The cup now has one squared off side of its base. It'll be the first of many dents it sees as it makes its way from Tampa through the streets of Denver the next couple days.
