Earlier this summer, we saw Toronto Maple Leafs forward Jason Spezza hang up his skates and join the Leafs' front office as a special assistant to Leafs GM Kyle Dubas. We also saw Patrice Bergeron decide to return for another season in Boston, but for Bergeron's good friend and former teammate and Zdeno Chara, a big decision still looms.
According to a report from Matt Porter, Chara has decided to delay any decisions on his future until September. At 45 years of age, I don't think anyone's really twisting Chara's arm to return to the game. At this stage, if Big Z decides to return for another year, it will be in pursuit of one more Cup before he rides off into the sunset.
