The Michigan or lacrosse goal was introduced on March, 24th 1996 by Mike Legg of the Michigan Wolverines. At the time it was an incredible goal and still is, although with the skill of hockey players now, those incredible goals seems so much easier to pull off. With the likes of Andrei Svechnikov and Trevor Zegras using that move, one more name has been added to that list.

Kent Johnson, 19, became the first player in the 2022 World Juniors summer edition to score a lacrosse style goal. This evening In the Canada versus Czechia game, the 2021 fifth overall pick scored the insane goal to propel Canada to a 2-1 lead in the second period.

These kids make it look completely effortless! What a goal..
