Brad Marchand takes a shot at Leaf fans during recent interview
Brad Marchand has been having a great time on social media lately, roasting reporters and fan bases alike with his most recent engagement a response to the potential host cities of the 2025 All-Star Game. This morning, Marchand joined Kyle Cantlon of Yahoo Sports where Marchand discussed some of his social media presence.
Cantlon asked Marchand which fan base has the "biggest beef" with him personally. To his credit, Marchand gave a well thought-out answer before firing a shot at Leaf fans, saying that Oilers fans were not too happy with him about his dig at the city possibly being a host for the 2025 All-Star Game, but he acknowledged that any time a Canadian fan base is involved it's passionate.
"Toronto fans are probably the most dominant fan base in Canada so they can get pretty overwhelming. Sometimes even their players get overwhelmed with how much fan and media backlash they get at times as well. So if their guys are getting sick of it, it's a little overwhelming," said Marchand about the Toronto market and Leaf fans in general.
Marchand woke up Monday morning and chose violence on social media this week, as this is the third or fourth time this week he has made a comment that made its way through social media. As much as we hate on the guy, his personality is what the game needs more of off of the ice.
