Last season, Makar had a career year, reaching 86 points. Only behind Nashville's
Roman Josi, he was the defenseman with the second-highest amount of points in the entire NHL and currently has 180 points in 178 games played as he enters his fourth season in the league.
Now entering the second year of his six-year contract extension signed in 2021, it's safe to say the Avalanche are getting their money's worth with Makar so far and will continue to, given the pace he's going at.
