As battles for roster spots continue throughout training camp, emotions are high - but then again, they were already high between the Winnipeg Jets and Montreal Canadiens, stemming from their 2021 2nd round playoff series. As you'll recall, it was a rough series. The tone of that one was set when Jets forward Mark Scheifele absolutely trucked Habs forward Jake Evans, knocking him out of the series and earning himself a 4-game suspension.

On Thursday, it was lumbering defenseman Logan Stanley and newly-minted Habs forward Kirby Dach who locked horns after a Dach scoring attempt. Stanley was first tripped up by Dach along the boards, sending both players tumbling to the ice. The official quickly stepped in to diffuse the situation, but not before Stanley landed a parting shot.
