Jack Adams Finalist and Florida Panthers Head Coach Andrew Brunette guided the Panthers to the Presidents Trophy. Unfortunately, the team floundered in the second round, getting swept by Tampa, scoring 3 goals across 4 games.

Being swept by Tampa has not sat well the Panthers organization and according to reports, they have not given Brunette a vote of confidence for next season. As a matter of fact, and per Frank Seravalli, they have interviewed a number of head coaching candidates including Barry Trotz, Travis Green and Peter DeBoer.

Had Brunette won the Jack Adams Award, it may have swayed the Panthers to bring him back for another season, but with well established and successful coaches available, the Panthers may want someone with more tenure to help the Panthers navigate into deeper waters come playoff time.
