Sidney Crosby is a sure fire first ballot HHOFer whenever he decides to retire which doesn't look like it will be any time soon. At 34 «Sid the Kid» is still putting up ridiculous numbers and producing highlight reel plays and with 69 points on the season already, he is one point away from guaranteeing himself his 17th straight season of producing at a PPG pace.

Gretzky currently holds the record at 19 and it isn't a stretch to say that Sid will tie that record over the coming years. He is still at the top of his game and continues to be one of the best two way players in the league today. Let's not forget that he's just 3 seasons removed from his last 100+ point season as well.

Not only is he 1 point away from securing another PPG season but he is 6 points away from 1400 in his career. Currently sitting at 1394 points, 510G and 884A, expect Sid to hit the 1400 point plateau over the next week or so. Imagine how many points he would have had he not missed almost 2 seasons with ankle and concussion issues.
