Denver police officer tries to remove Avs defenseman Bowen Byram from his own Stanley Cup Parade
The Colorado Avalanche held their official Stanley Cup Parade on Thursday on the streets of Denver, and it was a wild one. At one point, a few of the Avs players even hopped off the float and ran alongside, interacting with the fans in attendance.
One of the players who "abandoned ship" and opted to run up and down the sidelines was 21-year-old Bowen Byram. It was all fun and games until Byram was almost forced into the crowd to watch the rest of the parade from the sidelines.
As Byram was running alongside the parade convoy, a Denver police officer attempted to clear him off to the side and out of the way, while onlookers tried to make the officer aware of the fact that Byram plays for the Avs.
To be fair, Byram doesn't exactly look like a hockey player in street clothes and swimming in his jersey, but nevertheless, you'd think that a local officer would be aware of who the players in the parade were. This might be one of the funniest things I've ever seen during a Stanley Cup Parade.
