Flames Insider reports that the list circulating of favourites to land Tkachuk is inaccurate
Matthew Tkachuk's name has dominated the airwaves, TV sports networks and social media for most of the day on Wednesday, with many arm-chair trade proposals and hypothetical landing spots being tossed around. One such list of landing spots from earlier today that had been circulating on social media included St. Louis, Vegas, Florida, Nashville and Dallas.
Sportsnet's Eric Francis, one of the main reporters who has been all-in on the Tkachuk news on Wednesday, took some time to address the abovementioned rumour, suggesting the alleged list that has been making the rounds is nothing more than conjecture.
Another list that has been circulating comes from The Athletic's Hailey Salvian, who is a more trustworthy source of information, also had the likes of St. Louis, Vegas, Nashville and Dallas mentioned as possible landing spots, but rather than Florida, Salvian had New Jersey, Long Island and Detroit listed.
Francis did not elaborate on what the possible locations he has heard are, but he did report earlier on Wednesday that Tkachuk would be traded "imminently", so it doesn't appear as though Flames GM Brad Treliving has any intentions of dragging this one out over the next two months.
