At 26, Milano cracked the 30-point plateau for the first time in his up-and-down career. As with many PTO's, should he end up earning a contract on Calgary's loaded roster, it will likely end up being a 1-year deal around the league minimum (750K). Somewhat surprising for someone coming off of a career year at 26, but at the same time, many teams realize that he is not the top-6 forward that some fans believe he is.
Milano is a a solid third line player that can play on the second line if needed, but with his career high of 34 points coming last season, his growth and potential seems to be maxed out at this point. However, he will make the Flames' bottom six even more difficult to play against as they already have the likes of Blake Coleman, Trevor Lewis, Dillon Dube and Milan Lucic.
