Heading into Game 5 against Boston, the Florida Panthers' backs were against the wall and they needed to top the best team in the NHL on home ice at TD Garden in Boston, where they were absolutely dominant all season. The game was back and forth with the Bruins tying it midway through the third period, which forced the game into overtime.

In overtime, off of what looked to be an innocent dump in from Florida, Linus Ullmark came out to play the puck behind the Boston net and got crossed up with his defenseman, which led to the puck bouncing off his defenseman to the front of the net where Matthew Tkachuk came flying in and scooped it into the net on his backhand to send the series back to Florida for Game 6.

Florida's win and Tkachuk's overtime heroics took Boston's chance of being the first team to advance to round 2 away and has now given the Leafs the opportunity to be the first team to advance to round 2 if they are able to dispose of the Lightning in Game 5 tonight in Toronto. Should the Leafs be able to win Game 5, it will be their first series win in 20 years and will end a drought of six straight first round exits.
