Former Avs prospect drops Canes prospect with a vicious uppercut in KHL preseason action

For Carolina Hurricanes prospect Kirill Slepets and former Nashville Predators/Colorado Avalanche prospect Vladislav Kamenev, the KHL season is just around the corner, so now's the time to put their best foot forward and make an impression on their respective coaches.

During KHL preseason action on Friday, a collision between Slepets and Kamenev led to tempers flaring and, unfortunately for Slepets, a brief physical altercation left him rocked and nearly knocked out cold on the ice.

Slepets tried to shake off his glove and fire a quick shot at Kamenev, catching him off guard. Kamenev then shook off his own glove and delivered a stiff uppercut that nearly put Slepets to sleep.
