While none of that news is particularly new, the Leafs did come up in discussion on TSN's Insider Trading on Tuesday, with Chris Johnston revealing that the Buds may be interested in taking care of some business with one of their current roster players.
Johnston revealed on Tuesday that the Leafs have liked what they've seen from defenseman Conor Timmins since he has come over from the Arizona Coyotes. There is apparently some appetite there, at least from the Leafs' perspective, on sitting down with the Ontario native to negotiate a contract extension.
Timmins is a pending RFA, who does have arbitration rights, so the Leafs will likely want to get his extension out of the way sooner rather than later.
