Dallas Stars captain Jamie Benn remains one of the NHL's fiercest competitors. His brand of hockey is very physical - something that youngster Quinn Hughes learned the hard way during Monday's game against the Vancouver Canucks.

Benn took Hughes into the boards hard during the second period, sending the skilled blueliner crashing to the ice. Canucks teammate Luke Schenn took exception to the hit and went right after Benn as a result.

It's not often that you'll see Jamie Benn having his lunch money taken, but that's exactly what happened when the two heavyweights dropped the mitts.

Both the Stars captain and the Canucks veteran were handed 5-minute penalties on the play, with Schenn surprisingly avoiding a 2-minute instigator.

The Canucks skated away with a 6-2 win on home ice, improving their chances of qualifying for the postseason to 14%.
