The Leafs' top pick from the 2022 NHL Entry Draft, Fraser Minten, has been tearing up the WHL this season for his Kamloops Blazers. The Vancouver native is now up to 16 goals and 32 points in only 23 games after another stellar performance last night.

Minten scored a hat-trick and added an assist in his 6-4 victory against the Kelowna Rockets. It is obviously way too early to make any projections as he only just turned 18 in July but he projects to be a middle six forward with top six upside.

He scored the go-ahead and eventual game winning goal on the power play with a little over 5 minutes remaining in the third period before capping off his hat-trick with an empty netter. Minten also added a game-tying power play marker mid-way through the second period with a lethal shot from the face-off dot.

He is coming off a season where he scored 20 goals and 55 points in 67 regular season games before adding another 6 goals and 16 points in 17 post-season games. In parts of 3 seasons with the Blazers he is now up to 40 goals and 105 points in 110 games.
