Leafs Donate massive amount of food to charity.
In the age of COVID-19, which is generally screwing up everything for everyone, it's always nice to hear of some good being done because of it.
Scotiabank Arena will not host any games for the Leafs or Raptors between now and the end of the Christmas break. A bummer for fans and players alike, but not so much for Canadians in need.
The 1200lbs of food that was to be offered to players, personnel and fans for the postponed Leafs and Raptors games will now go to Second Harvest Canada. The largest charity of its kind in Canada, Second Harvest focuses on feeding underprivileged Canadians by making sure no food goes to waste.
With the Leafs schedule in a state of flux, there may be more donations to come for Second Harvest.
