The Leafs continued to tinker on the operations side of things on Tuesday following the announcement that Dr. Hayley Wickenheiser, Ryan Hardy and Darryl Metcalf had been promoted within the organization and that Curtis Sanford had been hired as the team's new goalie coach.

According to Kyle Cushman, the Leafs have also signed former NHLer Matt Moulson as a pro scout. Moulson, a 650-game NHL veteran had spent his last 5 seasons in the AHL, playing two seasons with the Ontario Reign and three years with the Hershey Bears.

Moulson enjoyed his two best statistical NHL seasons riding shotgun to Leafs captain John Tavares during their time together in Long Island. The 38-year-old notched three consecutive 30-goal seasons with the Isles from 2009-2012.

Moulson officially retires from pro hockey after 8 AHL seasons and 11 NHL seasons. The North York, ON native spent time in Los Angeles, Long Island, Buffalo and Minnesota during his NHL career, amassing 176 goals and 369 career regular season points. He also notched 6 points in 16 playoff games split between the Islanders and the Wild in 2013 and 2014.
