The Toronto Maple Leafs are entering what appears to be a pivotal season, where they are one first round failure away from large potential changes to the roster and organization as we know out. There is a lot riding on this season, and that includes upper management and the players. It appears that the players have been training hard to get ready for this season, as there have been many that have been putting on some size to prepare for what should be a successful year and (hopefully) playoffs.

There have been 11 Leafs players who have put on 5 or more pounds this offseason. Most notably, this includes players such as William Nylander, who gained 8 pounds, Mitch Marner with a 9 pound increase and T.J. Brodie with a 9 pound increase. There were also newcomers such as Matt Murray with a 12 pound increase, Ilya Samsonov with a 14 pound increase and Adam Gaudette with a whopping 24 pound increase. Other notable players with weight increases are Auston Matthews with 3 pounds and Nick Robertson with 6 pounds.

There have also been some Leafs players who have grown in height this offseason. Notables include David Kämpf, T.J. Brodie, Zach Aston-Reese, Nicolas Aubé-Kubel, Calle Järnkrok and Alex Kerfoot. Now, naturally, with all of these players being in their 20s and 30s, they didn't ACTUALLY grow in height over the summer - these are believed to be updates to some very out-dated bios.

With the upcoming season being as important as ever, it is good to know that the players trained hard in the offseason, and hopefully it translates well on the ice, especially in the playoffs.
