Woll, a 3rd round pick of the Leafs from the 2016 draft, has spent three seasons with the Marlies, and made four NHL appearances for the Leafs last year, with a 2.76GAA and .911SV%. Woll has yet to play a game this season due to an injury he suffered in March, but he has gotten himself healthy and dressed as a back-up for the Marlies Sunday evening.
Dylan Ferguson was originally a 7th round pick of the Dallas Stars from 2017. The Lantzville, British Columbia native has spent four seasons playing pro games in the AHL and ECHL, while also playing one game for the Golden Knights in 2017-2018. Ferguson has played 5 games for the Marlies this year, posting a 3.12GAA and .888SV%, and took a bump to the head during Saturday night's game against the Abbotsford Canucks. The team later confirmed that Ferguson is going to be week-to-week with an upper body injury.
While the Leafs have been pretty unlucky on the injury front within the organization, each goalie that has come in to play for the Leafs has done their job well; Matt Murray has looked solid in his return, Erik Kallgren carried the load when needed and has been a stellar 5v5 goaltender, despite his over numbers, and when healthy, Ilya Samsonov has been flat-out amazing this year. Hopefully the Buds can get healthy and keep playing good hockey for the rest of the season.
When he's back at full health, Ferguson figures to be headed back to the ECHL's Newfoundland Growlers - as long as Woll and Petruzzelli remain healthy.
