Being cut from training camp is not always a bad thing. Sure, at the time, it's not fun, but for Leafs prospect Ty Voit, being the first cut seems to have lit a fire under him. Voit, who was a late addition to the Leafs' training camp roster, has been on an absolute tear during his first two games for the OHL's Sarnia Sting, earning the first star of the game in both games.

Per The Score's Kyle Cushman, the 2021 fifth round pick (153rd overall) has been lighting it up for Sarnia. Yesterday against the Windsor Spitfires, Voit was robbed on a one-timer in the third, but was able to get the last laugh and scored the game winning goal in overtime. Voit also recorded three shots on goal, while playing on the first line. On Friday against the Kitchener Rangers in a 6-3 win, the Pittsburgh native had 3 points, one goal and two assists.

Four points in two games has the 19-year-old averaging 2 points per game and, although it's only the beginning of the season, it looks like the Leafs prospect is going to be a force this year in the OHL just one season after posting 80 points in 67 games.
