Leafs provide updates on defenders injured in Wednesday tilt with the Habs
The Leafs lost two defensemen last night in Jordie Benn and Carl Dahlstrom. Benn suffered a groin injury while Dahlstrom suffered a shoulder injury.
Benn left the game just a couple of minutes into the first period, while Dahlstrom left early in the second. Losing Benn and Dahlstrom forced the Leafs to move Alex Kerfoot and Calle Jarnkrok back to play defense.
Post-game Keefe provided an update on Benn and Dahlstrom saying they would both miss some time. With Liljegren already out til November, and Muzzin still recovering from back issues, the Leafs blueline depth is already being tested.
Thankfully, Rasmus Sandin has signed his extension, so help is on the way!
