Leafs record a video message for prospect who was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor

Captain John Tavares, his Maple Leaf teammates and the entire coaching staff gathered at centre ice at Scotiabank Arena this morning to be filmed sending best wishes to Leafs' prospect, Rodion Amirov.

Yesterday, it was announced that Amirov, the 15th pick in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, has been diagnosed with a brain tumor.

Endless messages of best wishes and support poured in from the hockey community all over the world, for which Amirov acknowledged his gratitude on his Instagram account later in the day:

Amirov is undergoing treatment at a medical facility in Germany. From the entire Maple Leafs Insider team, we'd like to send our best wishes and a speedy recovery to Rodion.
