After a day off on Sunday following a back-to-back this weekend, the Leafs are back at it on Monday to prepare for a Tuesday tilt against a heated Atlantic Division Rival in the Florida Panthers.

The Leafs have not played at home since November 11th against the Vancouver Canucks, and they're currently riding a 2-game losing streak, so they'll want to put their best foot forward to avoid losing 3 straight.

There was some speculation that Marlies standout Alex Steeves may sneak into the lineup for that one, however, the Leafs have instead opted to return him to the Toronto Marlies on loan on Monday.

Steeves has been red hot for the Marlies this season, posting 18 points in just 14 games, including 11 goals. The 23-year-old played just 6 games for the Leafs over the past two seasons combined. He's been scratching and clawing for an opportunity to show what he can do in the NHL, but hasn't yet gotten a lengthy look.

Steeves is reportedly set to practice with the Marlies today.
