Say what you will about Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe, but he hasn't been shy about tinkering with his lineup early on and getting plenty of different looks, especially in the bottom six.

Coming into Saturday's tilt with the Boston Bruins, the Leafs have used 4 different 3C's in five games. Now it appears as though there will be a 5th different 3C in 6 games after Keefe announces that Pierre Engvall will get a crack at 3C tonight. He is expected to play with Calle Jarnkrok and Wayne Simmonds.

Following practice Keefe addressed the decision to try Engvall on center on that third line, acknowledging that just because the game starts that way, it doesn't mean it will end that way. Keefe believes that there could be some movement within that bottom six yet again as the game develops.

"I think he can be an effective center when he has played there for us. I suspect our lines would be juggled throughout the game. We'll mix things up for a little bit." -Keefe on Engvall at 3C

Engvall, 26, has had a less than ideal start to the 2022-23 campaign, coming into tonight's game with just 1 point in 10 games - a goal against the Los Angeles Kings in a 4-2 loss on October 29th.
