Mark Giordano fights former Leaf, sets the tone early in Game 2
The Tampa Bay Lightning had their way with the Leafs in Game 1, but the Leafs definitely started on time in Game 2, with Mitch Marner ripping home a power play goal in the first minute of the game and Mark Giordano also taking a former Leaf to task following a bit of a post-whistle scrum.
Giordano had actually squared up with Pierre-Edouard Bellemare, but when the official came in to break things up, tying up Bellemare, former Leafs defenseman Zach Bogosian decided to step up and oblige Giordano in a battle of veteran blueliners.
The fight was brief, but Giordano definitely helped set the tone in this one. More than anything else, Gio likely just wanted to show Tampa that they don't plan on bring pushed around in this one.
