Matthews growing tired answering questions about Arizona
The Leafs take on the Arizona Coyotes tonight at ScotiaBank Arena and if history tells us anything, it's that the Leafs will likely make this game closer than it should be. Not only that, but it is usually a guarantee that any former Leaf scores against them when they play so that would mean former Leaf Nick Ritchie will score at least one tonight.
During the media availability this morning, Arizona native Auston Matthews was asked for the umpteenth time about what it was like watching his first Coyotes game as a kid, to which he had a tongue-in-cheek response, "I haven't answered this question enough?" Of course, Matthews gave his response with a smirk on his face, but you would think after 7 years in Toronto, the media would stop asking him that question.
They say stupid questions get stupid answers and if I was in Matthews' shoes, I would've answered the same way. If there's one reason why anyone would want to leave Toronto, it's because of being asked questions that have been answered in years past that should be irrelevant after so many years.
