Don't look now, folks, but the Leafs are on a roll! The Buds have now gone 6-1-2 over their last 9 games and a big reason for the success of the team is its leading scorer, Mitch Marner, who is currently enjoying a 12-game point streak.

Marner notched a pair of assists in a thrilling 5-2 victory over the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday, bringing his point total up to 22 on the season and 17 points over his 12-game streak. Marner was asked about his streak following last night's win, but in typical Marner fashion, he downplayed his streak by stating that he's just out there to work hard, deferring to his teammates, who have done a great job of finding the back of the net.

"I'm just doing me, like usual. Just trying to buzz out there. Trying to be the best I can be, and lucky enough to have some great people to put some pucks in the net."

-Marner on scoring 17 points in his last 12 games

His two assists last night have put Marner on track to record 94 points this season, though I'm sure he'd love to do what he fell just short of last season and break the 100-point barrier for the first time in his young career.
