Three more NHL games have been postponed this week, including the Leafs game Wednesday against the Pittsburgh Penguins. The league made the announcement late on Sunday via their official NHL PR Twitter account. Some temporary changes to the CBA announced as well.
Along with Wednesday nights Leafs game, the Columbus Blue Jackets and Chicago Blackhawks game on Tuesday has been postponed and the Ottawa Senators and Boston Bruins game scheduled for Wednesday night will be rescheduled as well.
This latest wave of postponements comes after the Leafs added a 14th player to COVID protocol on Sunday, with 24 players on the Marlies being in protocol as well. The Leafs simply do not have enough bodies to play the game.
The Leafs have now had 6 consecutive games postponed due to the recent spike in positive COVID-19 cases around the league.
