With the Toronto Maple Leafs expecting to go right back to work on Monday February 5th against the New York Islanders, and the four Maple Leafs All-Stars having only one day to switch gears back to their regular season, one Leaf doesn't seem too worried about it.
With majority of the team having last played in their statement win in Winnipeg on January 27th, it has given the players almost one and a half weeks to have a mental reset, rest any injuries and underlying ailments, and prepare for a gruelling second half of the regular season. Rielly's message to fans about wanting his team to put their best foot forward and stringing together some wins is music to the ears of Leafs Nation, who have grown weary about the up and down play of the team this season.
Knowing Toronto has the toughest schedule for the second half of the regular season, they are in a good spot to go out and test their metal against some of the top teams in the league as they blaze a trail towards the playoffs.
